We'll welcome you back to the simple joys of the season in our favorite winter playgrounds. Vermont's timeless beauty and charm play perfect host for this unique vacation.
Our experienced Vermont guides will introduce you to snowshoeing - an activity that anyone who can walk will quickly master. You'll be amazed at how peaceful and beautiful woodland trails unveil a whole different season of life. Learn to read the tracks of animals such as fox and moose, and perhaps even the elusive bobcat.
Glide gracefully over fields of snow on cross country skis. Level terrain just steps from your lodging in Stowe is the perfect location for beginners to try this wonderful activity. Hop on a sled and laugh your way down a snowy hillside. Picture yourself as the subject of a Currier and Ives print while passing through a covered bridge during a horse-drawn sleigh ride.
Enjoy some of the top lodging in the region, ranging from a charming country inn complete with an old-fashioned cookstove and wood-fired sauna to luxurious guest homes with huge fieldstone fireplaces. Each location serves as a wonderful base for exploring the local area.
The trip is designed for all levels of experience from first-time beginners to those who cross country ski and snowshoe regularly. Locally-made TSL snowshoes and poles are provided for use throughout the trip. Cross country equipment is provided for an introductory morning ski. A Sojourn logo Ibex Merino wool zip turtleneck is included in the tour price and is yours to keep. Complete packing lists will be provided upon reservation.
