Have us organize a private guided or fully customized California bike tour for your group. Base your trip on one of our existing itineraries, or let our expert tour designers fully customized one to create an extra special group vacation.
It couldn't be easier to turn any one of our existing tour itineraries into a private tour for 4 or more cyclists. Just navigate to the tour you want, then click on the "Private Tours" button. Enter the starting date you want. We'll do the rest.
We make it easy to arrange a customized private group trip. While a trip can be designed for as few as two cyclists, it’s most economical with 6 or more. And although all the UDC trips are in California, Black Sheep Adventures is happy to put together a trip for your well beyond California (elsewhere in the US, Europe or beyond – tell us where you want to go). Pick the dates, locations, activity levels, and personal preferences of your group. Put our years of expertise to work to make your group trip a memorable and rewarding experience.
Just use our online form to tell us how many people, what dates, where you would like to go, hotels and dining you would like. We'll take care of the details. In just a few days, we'll send you a proposed itinerary.

My wife and I chose the 3-day Wine Country and Sonoma Coast tour. I would highly recommend it for anyone that might enjoy a nice mix of road biking, wine tasting, and soaking in gorgeous terrain.
There were a total of eleven people on our tour, and we had two guides - Laura and Daryl - who were just great. They had all of the bikes ready to go each morning, and the bikes were set up based on the measurements that each person had sent in beforehand (based on their own bike from home). The bikes were super nice, full carbon.
Each morning we got together for breakfast, got route sheets and talked about the potential add-ons for those that wanted more mileage. You go at your own pace, so at times we were a group, and at other times folks or couples took off on their own. We'd re-group for a snack and also then for lunch. The highlight for me was the grueling Sweetwater climb on day 2. This was an optional segment; the others chose the flat route, so I got my own person guide (Daryl) on Sweetwater. I actually flatted prior to the climb. Probably could have fixed it myself with the tube and CO2 provided in my bag, but let Daryl handle it - what the heck, I'm on vacation!
Bottom line, the rides are beautiful - lots of redwoods, rolling vineyards, and shady creekside roads. The most beautiful stretch is the 10 miles of coastline on day 3. We will definitely be looking for another UDC Tour in the future.
