What is the average daily mileage?

The longest day is the ride from Big Sur to Cambria, about 73 miles. The remainder of the days are between 40 and 50 miles.

What is included in the price of the trip?

What is the weather going to be like?

April weather in Big Sur Central Coast is generally mild and sunny. But there is always a chance of rain. Our best advice is to be prepared for changing weather conditions. Here are some weather statistics for September:

Where do we meet at the start of the trip?

We meet on Saturday morning in Carmel Valley, at the Los Laureles Lodge. To make a reservation to stay there, call reservations (831-659-2233) and say you are with Undiscovered Country. They will give you a discounted room rate.

How do I get to the start?

The simplest way is to fly to the Monterey Airport, then take a cab to the Los Laureles Lodge.

Where does the trip end?

The tour officially ends at Los Laureles Lodge in Carmel Valley.

What should I bring?

Bicycle

Don't forget to bring your bicycle. If you need us to provide a bicycle for you, please contact us.

Cycling Clothing

Cycling shorts, cycling jerseys, cycling socks, cycling shoes, gloves, helmet, wind jacket or vest, rain gear (jacket, pants, helmet cover, shoe covers), sunglasses. For colder weather: arm warmers, knee/leg warmers or tights, full fingered gloves, shoe covers, beanie.

Other Clothes

Hat, bathing suit, sweater or jacket, comfortable shoes, casual evening wear.
