What is the average daily mileage?

The longest day is the ride Santa Ynez to Jalama Beach and back, about 73 miles. The remainder of the days are between 40 and 50 miles.

What is included in the price of the trip?

Seven nights lodging:

What is the weather going to be like?

September weather on the Central Coast is generally mild and sunny. But there is always a chance of rain. Our best advice is to be prepared for changing weather conditions. Here are some weather statistics for September:

Where do we meet at the start of the trip?

We meet on Saturday morning in Monterey, at a hotel that has convenient access to the Monterey Airport. There also may be an option for a shuttle pick up near the San Jose Airport earlier that morning.

How do I get to the start?

The simplest way is to fly to the Monterey Airport. The next closest airport is San Jose.

Where does the trip end?

The tour officially ends at the same hotel where we started, in Monterey. If anyone wants a shuttle ride back to San Jose, we also can arrange that.

What should I bring?

Bicycle

Don't forget to bring your bicycle. If you need us to provide a bicycle for you, please contact us.

Cycling Clothing

Cycling shorts, cycling jerseys, cycling socks, cycling shoes, gloves, helmet, wind jacket or vest, rain gear (jacket, pants, helmet cover, shoe covers), sunglasses. For colder weather: arm warmers, knee/leg warmers or tights, full fingered gloves, shoe covers, beanie.

Other Clothes

Hat, bathing suit, sweater or jacket, comfortable shoes, casual evening wear.
