We base our weekend in the town of Healdsburg, because Healdsburg is today what Napa Valley was like before the world discovered it. This quintessential Wine Country town still retains its small winery town charm, because vacationers are content to confine themselves to nearby Napa. Everything is smaller and slower paced in Healdsburg, and tempting distractions are within a few blocks of our inviting inn on the central plaza. Boutique shops, art galleries, and amazing restaurants ring the plaza—with dozens of tasting rooms just a short stroll away.
But most importantly, Healdsburg is a cyclist’s dream town—in every direction are quiet back roads through vineyards, rolling hills, and even shady redwood groves. And that's the main reason we choose to stay in Healdsburg, because after all the amazing wines, charming inns, fantastic dining, Healdsburg is an amazing place to ride a bike.
